Tim Key: Loganberry

Brighton Dome Concert Hall Church St, Brighton

Tim Key: Loganberry. TIM KEY (Alan Partridge, The Ballad of Wallis Island, Tim Key’s Late Night Poetry Programme) again pops his suit on, plods about, in a brand new show. Bit gutted he’s old. Guzzling continental lager. Magnetic lol. Decent reviews for previous shows. Played a pigeon in Bong Joon Ho’s latest movie. Been on Richard Herring’s podcast. Book out: “L.A. Baby!”. Met Steffi Graf in 1998/9. This show has poems in, and he’ll stamp and howl. Won the Perrier Award in 2009! Presented by Plosive Live in association with PBJ Management

Double Indemnity

Theatre Royal Brighton New Road, Brighton

Double Indemnity Brighton 2026 Hollywood icon Mischa Barton (The O.C.) makes her UK stage debut in Double Indemnity, the gripping adaptation of one of the greatest crime novels of the 20th Century – the story that inspired Billy Wilder’s film noir classic. Los Angeles, 1930s. Amidst the wreckage of the Great Depression, Walter Huff, a sharp-eyed insurance salesman, has built his career spotting scams. But when he meets the dangerously seductive Phylis Nirdlinger (Barton) to discuss her husband’s life insurance policy, he finds himself drawn into a web of lust, greed, and betrayal. Together they plot the perfect crime: murder the husband, cash in the policy, and disappear into the Californian sunset. But passion can cloud judgement, and guilt can corrode the most perfect of plans. With each step increasingly risky, and as mistrust simmers, will Walter and Phyllis outsmart the law - or each other? James M. Cain’s thrillingly amoral masterpiece of murder, deceit, and mystery is adapted for the stage by Tom Holloway and directed by Oscar Toeman.

Ardal O’Hanlon: Not Himself

Brighton Dome Concert Hall Church St, Brighton

Ardal O'Hanlon: Not Himself. Oh, it’s all there! All the trademarks are in evidence in Ardal’s latest show. Beautifully crafted stand-up comedy? Yes. Celebrated use of language? Tick. Lateral thinking, surreal flourishes, sharp observations? Of course. As for the occasional profundity? Maybe. Despite his best attempts over many decades to put the world to rights, it is still a colossal mess. And so, Ardal has no choice but to go out on the road again. Like the good comedy doctor he is, he fearlessly diagnoses the various pathologies and neuroses that are currently ravaging humanity. Disclaimer: No solutions provided. After an alarming experience at the supermarket, Ardal reflects on who he is as a man and a comedian. He examines his own ethnic and religious background. And thinks twice about the very core of his identity as a voice of reason. Is everything a big lie? With no major trauma of his own to draw on for material, apart from the drag of getting older, he also turns his gaze outwards at the joys and follies of contemporary life. Towel Animals? A.I.? Chair Yoga? Cauliflower as a main course? Yes. Yes. Yes. And Yes. No current idiocy is left unexamined. […]
