Folklore Sessions Presents; Dan Owen + Support April 4th 2026 The Folklore Rooms £17adv | 18+ Known for his arresting, husky vocals and gritty, blues-infused pop/rock, Dan Owen is a British alternative singer/songwriter from Shropshire, England. Owen became interested in music at an early age, taking up guitar at nine years old and performing with his sister, who had taken up singing. Their Dad encouraged them to perform at open-mike events at local pubs throughout their teens. After his sister left for University, Owen took to performing solo and began appearing at live events at various pubs and clubs throughout the area surrounding Shropshire. Performing under the name “Bluesboy Dan”, he gradually earned a committed fan base with his passionate versions of songs by artists such as Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker while also focusing on writing his own material. The original material of Todd Day Wait, is highly influenced by early American folk, country and blues music from the 1920's through the 1960's, embodying the spirit and authenticity of traditional American music. Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS orWesternAF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music. Born in Miami to a Spanish mother and Greek father, she spent the majority of her early life bouncing between multiple cultures and wanting to adapt. Piano lessons as a child led to days on end of writing and recording from her makeshift bedroom-studio as a teen, which turned into years of collecting songs- all just to store them away. Just Mustard | Today, Just Mustard - the Dundalk, Ireland-based band of Katie Ball, David Noonan, Mete Kalyoncuoğlu, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire have announced their new album WE WERE JUST HERE and shared the surging, late-night indebted title track. WWJH is set for release on October 24 via Partisan Records. WWJH was produced by Just Mustard, mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA Twigs) and recorded at Black Mountain studio, Dundalk.

Nina Anotonia | Author and poet Nina Antonia is a chronicler of the decadent, and her band’s album ‘Dropping Like Butterflies’ is released on 26 June on the Creation Youth label on Vinyl, CD and Digital. Asian Dub Foundation: La Haine - Live  In this incredible show, the live soundtrack from the classic French thriller is brought to the stage, played live by the band while the film screens in the background. Steve Chandra Savale, Jamil Jammaz Ahmed and Brian Fairbairn are respectively guitar, bass and drums of legendary Asian Dub Foundation, a band that has always been politically and socially motivated. The film, now more prescient than ever, stars Vincent Cassel and portrays the tension in Paris’ banlieuea after the killing of a local man by French police. The rawness of the film has made it a real cult classic, and a strong match for Asian Dub Foundation’s message.
