Folklore Sessions Presents; Todd Day Wait + Support 20th April 2026 | The Folklore Rooms £16adv | 18+ Todd Day Wait is one of the last real American Workhorse, pedal to the metal, Troubadours by way of Missouri, to California, to New Orleans and now Nashville. The original material of Todd Day Wait, is highly influenced by early American folk, country and blues music from the 1920's through the 1960's, embodying the spirit and authenticity of traditional American music. Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS orWesternAF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music. Harking back to JimmieRodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson he keeps the spirit of country music alive. In 2009 he put all his earthly belongings on the curb and hit the road, in his diesel shuttle bus fueled by vegetable oil, for a never ending tour. From busking the streets of New Orleans, to playing in the shadow of European castles, to lighting up the honky-tonk dancefloors in Nashville, Todd keeps it 60/50.

Folklore Sessions Presents; Allman Brown + Support The Folklore Rooms 22nd April 2026 | £15adv 18+ Allman Brown is a London, UK based singer-songwriter influenced by classic artists of the genre: Springsteen, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, Tracy Chapman and Feist. A preternaturally gifted vocalist, Brown has released three studio albums - 1000 Years (2017), Darling, It'll Be Alright (2019) and Second Son (2024) - and a number of EPs, which have accumulated a quarter of a billion streams and counting across both Spotify and Apple Music. Born in Miami to a Spanish mother and Greek father, she spent the majority of her early life bouncing between multiple cultures and wanting to adapt. The common thread anywhere she landed was her love for music. Piano lessons as a child led to days on end of writing and recording from her makeshift bedroom-studio as a teen, which turned into years of collecting songs- all just to store them away. Though she took a detour career-wise, she continued to play where she could and could never escape the urge to spend every day honing her first true passion. She played keys in a few bands and dabbled in open mics but always ended up feeling best in a dark room, single-handedly curating dramatic and ethereal melodies. Just Mustard | Today, Just Mustard - the Dundalk, Ireland-based band of Katie Ball, David Noonan, Mete Kalyoncuoğlu, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire have announced their new album WE WERE JUST HERE and shared the surging, late-night indebted title track. WWJH is set for release on October 24 via Partisan Records. WWJH was produced by Just Mustard, mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA Twigs) and recorded at Black Mountain studio, Dundalk.

Nina Anotonia | Author and poet Nina Antonia is a chronicler of the decadent, and her band’s album ‘Dropping Like Butterflies’ is released on 26 June on the Creation Youth label on Vinyl, CD and Digital. She's a former music journalist renowned for biographies of Johnny Thunders & The New York Dolls, who more recently has gained acclaim for her uncanny authorship, penning articles for Fortean Times. It was a mutual connection to Johnny Thunders that brought Nina and bandmates Neal X and Chris Musto together. Asian Dub Foundation: La Haine - Live  In this incredible show, the live soundtrack from the classic French thriller is brought to the stage, played live by the band while the film screens in the background. Steve Chandra Savale, Jamil Jammaz Ahmed and Brian Fairbairn are respectively guitar, bass and drums of legendary Asian Dub Foundation, a band that has always been politically and socially motivated. The film, now more prescient than ever, stars Vincent Cassel and portrays the tension in Paris’ banlieuea after the killing of a local man by French police. The rawness of the film has made it a real cult classic, and a strong match for Asian Dub Foundation’s message.

A composer for both HBO series and experimental films, the Dalt’s thought-provoking, multidisciplinary performances have taken place in art galleries and concert halls around the world.

Ctrl+Alt+Jazz presents Toast Club is the new promotions label started by Brighton jazz-rock band Meet Your Heroes. It was created to build a community of bands and artists pushing the jazz genre to its heavier fringes. Following the raucous C+A+J debut in London in April, the fusion train rolls forth to The Bee’s Mouth in Hove on Thursday 14th May 2026, as part of the Alt Alt Escape festival. Opening the show is Very Tiny Toads, the Brighton supergroup made up of Josephine Davies, Tim Wells and Angus Bishop. Second, Big Trio bless the stage - the relentless local quartet you’ve probably seen performing their brand of ‘jazz your friends like’. Third will be hosts Meet Your Heroes, a guitar trio fervently fusing math-rock and jazz.
