Leicester born Gok Wan MBE is a fashion consultant, author, television presenter, actor, chef and DJ. He trained in the performing arts before entering the fashion business. In 2006 he was employed by Channel 4 to present the show How to Look Good Naked which went on for seven series and presented a series of documentaries which reported on the social problems of young people, cooking shows including Gok’s Chinese Takeaway and was a regular stand-in presenter on ITV’s This Morning. His love of music saw him launching a well received opera compilation album, Gok’s Divas in 2017 before becoming a DJ. His sets of house and club classics have seen him perform around the globe and play in many big name clubs including Pacha in Poland. He recently released volume 2 of his compilation CD, Isolation Nation, inspired by his virtual kitchen raves that he hosted during lockdown.
