Grand Central Pub & Restaurant Refurb

31 Oct, 2024

Located adjacent to the railway station or at the top of an unforgiving walk up Trafalgar Street, you will find The Grand Central pub in Brighton. The venue has proudly been supplying liquid libations to locals and visitors alike since 1925 and the iconic space has recently undergone a refurbishment with stunning results. As well as the public bar area there are also ample private hire opportunities.

The upstairs space known as ‘The Nightingale Room’ boasts a retractable stage and bar with velvet clad booths and vintage style cabaret lights that provide a luxurious high end feel. This versatile space (which has a 100 capacity) can be used day or night for everything from meetings to parties.

Downstairs, the left hand side of the venue is named ‘The Goldstone’ after the original Brighton football stadium which can also be hired. Accommodating 30 people sitting or 40 standing – perfect for any upcoming staff Christmas parties. If you want to book any of the spaces you can do so through the ‘Book Now’ button on the pub website.

A buffet can be provided for both spaces upstairs and down and you can expect delicious buffet food items to cost from just £12 per head (prices subject to change).

There’s also a roof garden which is covered by a stretch tent meaning you will stay dry and warm during the winter months. There are also TV screens showing all of the major sports games on Sky and TNT. Sit and sip a pint while enjoying the new colourful mural adorning the wall painted by @i.am.sprite.

But what about the menu for non party hire? It’s pub classics all the way such as fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce, burgers, small plates, loaded fries, chicken wings with plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Expect live music from  Alison David on Thursdays throughout December.
