New Sussex Opera: The Dragon Of Wantley

The 1737 smash hit parodies Handel’s serious operas and pokes fun at the government of the day. New Sussex Opera sets the story in 1980s Yorkshire, against the backdrop of the miners’ strike, and performs it with a traditional period orchestra conducted by Toby Purser.
