One Garden Brighton November Events

As autumn sets in and the leaves turn gold and red at Stanmer Park, One Garden Brighton offers a rich programme of events throughout November, with something for all ages. Getting there is simple with a regular Brighton & Hove bus service or ample parking spaces for drivers. 

 

Lantern-Making Workshops 

1 Nov & 8 Nov 10:00–13:00 & 14:00–17:00

Participants of all ages can craft beautiful, glowing lanterns, decorating them and preparing for a seasonal display or walk. These hands-on sessions are ideal for families or solo visitors seeking a playful and creative morning. Each participant has the opportunity to explore colour, light and design in a relaxed environment, producing unique lanterns that capture the warmth of the season.

 

Monthly Watercolour & Mixed Media Workshops 

7 Nov & 20 Nov 10:00–12:00

These workshops provide a relaxed, guided space to experiment with watercolour, collage and mixed media techniques. The sessions are suitable for both beginners and experienced artists, offering time to explore personal expression while enjoying the calming rhythm of creative practice in a supportive setting.

 

Pottery Workshop with Sarah Vosmer 

15 Nov 11:00–13:00 & 14:00–16:00

Participants can work with clay to shape simple forms, experiment with textures and experience the meditative, tactile quality of pottery. Finished pieces may be glazed or fired afterward, creating lasting mementoes of a hands-on, immersive session.

 

Mushrooms & Roots: Deep Rest 

16 Nov 10:00–15:00

This full-day immersive experience focuses on forest walks, reflection, and mindful practices inspired by roots and fungi. It offers time to reconnect with nature, slow down and enjoy moments of stillness.

 

Imagination Walk

18 Nov 09:45–10:30

A gentle, contemplative stroll designed to spark curiosity and encourage observation throughout the gardens and woodland.

 

Paper Cyclamen Workshop 

22 Nov 10:00–13:30

Participants craft delicate paper cyclamen inspired by seasonal flora, combining artistry with hands-on making in a tranquil environment.

 

Planning & Planting a Small Orchard 

29 Nov 09:30–16:00

A practical, full-day workshop guiding participants through the design, planning and planting of a small  orchard, ideal for anyone interested in horticulture and sustainable gardening practices.
