Sense by Sim Brighton: Reawaken your intuition

 

For more than two decades, Simone lived deep in the adrenaline-fuelled world of PR and marketing. “I went to uni for it, built a career, managed teams, I really believed that was my path,” she says. “It became my identity.” But as the deadlines stacked up and the pressure intensified, her body began to push back. Burnout arrived with force: panic attacks, exhaustion, and a sense that she was drifting further and further from herself.

What she didn’t expect was what came next. “My senses started changing. I was suddenly picking up on other people’s energy, getting synchronicities constantly. And my old tarot deck, ignored for 25 years, kept telling me the same thing: “Listen to your intuition.”

However, this wasn’t a new voice. As a child, Simone saw spirits and explored the unseen with a curiosity that often got her in trouble at school. “I think I was always destined to return to this work,” she says. But she kept resisting until the corporate burnout made ignoring her inner guidance impossible.

While still in the corporate world, she began training in aromatherapy, Reiki and later herbalism, initially as self-support, then slowly as a calling. “I fell in love with it. And I thought, what if I can share this with others?”

Soon she realised that many of the people who came to her were struggling with the same thing she had: a deep disconnection from their intuition. “People feel the nudges, but society teaches us to override them. We’re conditioned out of magic.” 

Today, Sense by Sim runs energy-healing and guidance sessions throughout the week, and teaches intuition-development classes in Brighton, guiding people back to their own inner compass. Her six-month intuition programme held at Exeter Street Hall on the first Saturday of each month is a closed, supportive circle blending energy work, psychic exploration, spirit guides, and hands-on tools like tarot, oracle cards and pendulums. “It’s gentle, grounded and transformational,” she says. “You don’t have to be ‘witchy’, you just have to be curious.”

Her corporate background lends an unexpected credibility. “People who knew me before say, ‘If you believe in this, I have to take it seriously.’ And that means everything.” A new cohort opens in April and you can email to join the waiting list, with energy healing and guidance one-to-ones available year-round, bookable via the website. “Intuition is your birthright,” Simone says. “Once you start listening, life shifts. It becomes deeper, richer and you become more authentically you.”
