Written by Paul Unwin, the co-creator of Casualty, directed by Angus Jackson and with an all-star cast, this is based on one of the most famous poltergeist events in the world. In 1977 an ordinary working class family find furniture and toys begin moving of their own accord and experience unexplained phenomena around their suburban home for the next eighteen months. Celebrated actor and comedian Catherine Tate plays Peggy Hodgson, the single mother trying to protect her three children from these deeply disturbing events. David Thelfall, best known for his role as Frank  Gallagher in Shameless, plays Maurice Grosse, a ghost hunter brought in to try and rid the house of their uninvited guest. They are joined by a cast of familiar faces from the stage and screen including The Witcher’s Ella Schrey-Yeats, Neve McIntosh from Ripper Street and Daniel Stewart, who has appeared in Silent Witness.
