The Revel Puck Circus Brighton

The Revel Puck Circus returns to Brighton with a spectacular new big top show.

If you’re looking for something a little different to round off the summer holidays, The Revel Puck Circus is making a welcome return to Brighton with an all-new production that promises breathtaking acrobatics, laugh-out-loud comedy and a heartwarming story the whole family can enjoy.

From 27 Aug–6 Sep, Victoria Gardens will once again be transformed into a vibrant Big Top as the East London-born contemporary circus company brings A Glimmer Daze Gambit to the city as part of its first-ever large-scale UK tour.

Far from a traditional circus, Revel Puck blends world-class circus skills with storytelling, creating a spectacular, largely non-verbal performance that’s accessible to audiences of all ages.

Through a combination of mime, clowning and astonishing acrobatics, the show follows Stella and Kit, two hopeful newcomers who dream of joining the circus. Along the way they discover that making mistakes is all part of the adventure, and that friendship, resilience and community are just as important as the tricks themselves.

Expect plenty of edge-of-your-seat moments as an international cast of performers from Argentina, Canada, Ethiopia, the USA and the UK showcase incredible disciplines including aerial cradle, cloud swing, teeterboard, straps, bounce juggling, daring acrobatics and gravity-defying group acrobatics.

One of the biggest talking points is the company’s signature Rola Globe finale, where nine performers balance together on a giant moving globe topped with a square platform. It’s a jaw-dropping display of teamwork, trust and precision that leaves audiences holding their breath before erupting into applause.

The Revel Puck Circus has built a reputation for creating joyful, inclusive productions that welcome everyone, from seasoned theatre lovers to families experiencing contemporary circus for the very first time. Every performance is semi-relaxed, audience participation is optional and the largely word-free format makes it easy for everyone to follow the story.

Running for just two weeks in the heart of Brighton, this is one of those end-of-summer events that’s guaranteed to leave a lasting impression. With £10 preview performances on opening day and a packed schedule across the August Bank Holiday weekend, tickets are expected to sell quickly. Whether you’re planning a family day out or simply fancy experiencing circus in a completely new way, A Glimmer Daze Gambit promises 100 minutes of thrills, laughter and unforgettable entertainment beneath the Big Top.
