Situated at a historic site on London Road, Brighton you will find The Open Market. This undercover space boasts stalls, restaurants and cafes of all varieties. You can purchase everything from bacon and eggs to candles. The market regularly hosts events and there are many spaces for hire. Smorl’s Houmous – this family run business creates small batch artisan Houmous based on the traditional middle eastern recipe with an added dollop of Brighton flair. Only the highest quality ingredients are used to create the best Houmous you’ll (maybe) ever taste. 

The Honey Shop Green Valleys – specialists in a wide variety of sustainable honeys sourced from across the world. They guarantee honey purchased is 100% raw and unprocessed. Not only are the products high quality and delicious, you can also enjoy all of the health benefits associated with nature’s finest gold. 

Kouzina – This family run Cypriot restaurant has a daily changing menu and specials. The food is authentic as the owners are Cypriot and the prices are really reasonable with main dishes from £7, vegetarians and vegans are also catered for. Opens daily from 10.30am. 

Baka Neku – fans of Anime and Japanese video games will be in heaven. With everything from Pokémon plushies to Anime hero figures there’s something to please all. 

The Little Loaf – yet another independent family run business for you to support. All savories and patisserie are baked on the premises every morning as well as freshly filled baguettes for lunchtime. Buy some artisan bread while you’re there. 

Be Qute – sells organic accessories, handmade toys and children’s wear aged 0-8 years. You will also find mum wear – all affordable and fabulous quality. 

Giant – sustainability is the order of the day so why buy new when you can purchase some very cool vintage American classics? Find everything from baseball jackets, jeans, shorts and leather jackets. 

Pine & Oak Shop – need a new piece of wooden furniture? Then Pine and Oak can help. They are retailers of brand new, ready assembled solid oak and reclaimed types of furniture – you can buy online or in store. 

The Egg Shop – this stall is something of an institution having been at the Open Market for many years. You can buy your eggs, bacon, cheese and much more. All produce fresh as it gets.
