Alive at The Barn - Music Festival | Join us for the return of Southwick’s annual Music Festival …. Friday 24th & Saturday 25th July Two days. One barn. Zero chance of standing still! Alive at the Barn is back for a fourth year, with a line-up of legends, loud guitars, sharp words, and pure joy. Compered all weekend by Attila the Stockbroker From ska and punk to poetic chaos and full-on live performance, this is a proper grassroots music festival where the bands are close and the crowd is family. Friday night kicks off from 6.30pm with PHAT Problem, Henry Normal, Dakka Skanks and a huge headline set from the John Otway Big Band. Homemade food from 6–10pm! Saturday goes big from 1.30pm with an all-day run of absolute crackers including Gripper Lee, Noir Mates, Muddy Summers and The Dirty Field Whores, Jess Silk, Scare Taxi, Newtown Neurotics, TV Smith, Mark Thomas, and a storming close from Too Many Crooks. The Fairy & Dragon Trail at High Beeches Garden This summer, High Beeches Garden welcomes the return of the magical Willow Fairy and Dragon Trail. Come and visit this delightful 25-acre woodland and water garden and discover beautifully crafted willow sculptures hidden across the glades. A circular walk of around an hour allows you to soak up the tranquillity of the garden while you hunt for the fairies and their friends. The trail is suitable for all ages but particularly enjoyable for younger children. Little ones are encouraged to dress up to join in the fun and you can keep them entertained with a trail pack, available from the kiosk. On selected dates this year, we will be welcoming our special friend, Evie, the Shetland Unicorn for some guest appearances. Don't forget to follow us on social media to learn more. The Kiosk will be open throughout for hot and cold drinks, cakes, and ice creams. Picnics are welcome in the adjacent picnic area.
