  • Sisters UK Tour 26

Prince Albert 48 TRAFALGAR STREET, Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Sisters UK Tour 26. Sisters arrive as an assemblage of people and ideas drawn across continents, a story of blurred genres and chance encounters, of uncontrolled expression and the flight of immersive performance. Following the release of their debut EP, and with new visuals launched for the intense, emotional long read of Creatures, the hyped collective set out on their debut UK Tour, taking in eight dates including London’s St George’s Tavern on Tue 4 August 2026. Drawn together while studying music in Liverpool, the five-piece's story stretches from Brooklyn and upstate New York to Baltimore, Switzerland and a small town outside London. What emerges from disparate geography and artistic collectivism are songs that are unsettled and unsettling: weepy, ethereal and grunge-inflected, balancing resilience and fragility in equal measure. Unflinching emotional directness has helped Sisters build momentum quickly. Within a year of forming, the band received BBC radio support, headlined Rough Trade Liverpool, completed an East Coast US Tour and appeared at showcase events across their adopted North West of England. Recorded performances for Low Four Studios and Studio Duke have further captured the chemistry that has become central to their growing reputation, while coverage from local press and tastemaker […]

  • Intersections Exhibition

Kellie Miller Arts Gallery 3 Church Street, Underhill Lane, Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Intersections Exhibition | Considering our shared experience of the landscape, KMA Gallery presents Intersections as a space to reflect on the forces that bring us together. Curator Kellie Miller has invited two of our artists who have previously crossed paths as student and tutor many years ago to come together again, sharing their perspectives on the junctions of landscape, humanity and memory. Ceramicist turned painter Kate Wickham has always approached her work in a gestural manner. Based in Sussex but also inspired by Cornwall and France where she often spends time, she finds the spaces between the land and architecture, abstracting the topographical with map and aerial views. Each painting thus becomes multi-dimensional, expanding the visual possibility of the plane through her intricate detailing and clever use of colour. Previously she favoured working on a smaller surface but for Intersections, Kellie invited her to take her work to a larger scale with impressive results. Also exhibiting at the largest scale he has ever produced, Scottish ceramicist Craig Underhill has quickly grown a huge international following for his slab-built vessels via his popular YouTube and Instagram channels. His powerful works are reflective of the Cornish landscapes he traverses regularly, based on […]

Brian has appeared in many landmark science programs for BBC radio and television over the last 15 years, from the Peabody Award-winning Wonders of the Solar System to the world-wide hit series The Planets. “I’ve loved creating Emergence - it’s the most ambitious live show I’ve ever written. I’ve been very lucky to collaborate with a wonderful group of scientists, musicians, film makers and graphic artists to bring cosmology, biology, philosophy and history to the largest and most advanced LED screens available, with the best sound and lights I could find. I hope the show is an all-encompassing experience, and I hope it leaves everyone, whether they love science or music or history, or simply contemplating the beauty of Nature, with something new to think about.” 'A Jaw-dropping reminder that human life is both irrelevant and hugely precious.’  **** The Guardian ‘Science and cosmology doesn’t get any more dazzling and interesting than this – a wonderful journey through space and time orchestrated by Professor Brian Cox.’  Daily Echo ‘Is your brain hurting yet? Pete Fij + special guests at The Green Door Store on Thursday 22nd October Doors: 7.30pm Tickets: £12 in adv + bf/£14 on the door Standing Age restrictions: 18+ Renowned for his unmistakable voice and wry lyrical touch, Pete Fij(alkowski) makes a welcome return with fresh solo material – unveiling songs that brim with melody, wit and understated charm. Pete first burst onto the scene in the early 90s as the frontman and guitarist of post-shoegaze / pre-Britpop band Adorable, whose 1993 album Against Perfection, released on Creation Records, is regularly referred to as a lost indie classic, with the band picking up multiple ‘Single of the Week’ awards in the NME, and topping the Indie charts. Noel Gallagher once told Creation Records’ Alan McGee that dropping Adorable from the label was one of his biggest mistakes, whilst other artists such as Ash, Slowdive and Brian Jonestown Massacre, amongst others, have all expressed their admiration for the band. Following this, he joined up with his brother Krzys to form the One Little Indian band Polak (Swansongs 2000 / Rubbernecking 2002), which took in influences from the likes of Sparklehorse, Radiohead and dEUS, and led The Independent to call him “the […]

This is a band that runs on curiosity. Producing their own records, they take a bespoke approach to each track. With a wonderfully diverse range of instrumentation and an unmistakable joy in the creative process, every one of their songs is given a very beautiful and carefully considered place to live – musically and geographically, with recording locations including campervans, wind-buffeted barns, chapels and community centres. Stornoway lit up 2010 with their thrilling debut Beachcomber’s Windowsill, the culmination of a five-year journey with its starting point in a Freshers week meeting at Oxford University between Brian Briggs and the band’s arranger and multi-instrumentalist Jon Ouin. Komedia 44-47 Gardner Street, Brighton, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Von Hertzen Brothers (Acoustic Enough) | Finnish progressive rock visionaries Von Hertzen Brothers, return to the UK in October 2026 for a very special run of intimate seated theatre shows. Celebrating 25 years as a band, the Finnish band will present a unique live experience unlike anything they have previously brought to UK audiences. The band wryly describe these performances as acoustic “enough” - while the songs may be reimagined away from their usual electric rock set-up, these shows are anything but stripped back. Far from a simple “unplugged” set, these shows interpret the band’s music in a way that is intimate, expansive and more immersive than ever before. The three brothers, Mikko, Kie and Jonne Von Herzen are joined on stage by their bandmate, multi-instrumentalist Markus Pajakkala whose impressive array of instruments goes far beyond a traditional acoustic set-up. The brothers themselves also show off their insane musical skills, each playing multiple instruments and taking turns on drums, keyboards, guitars, vocals, percussion and whatever else is on hand. Presented in seated theatre and cabaret style venues, these evenings are designed to bring audiences closer to the songs and stories at the heart of the music. Spanning the band’s rich […]

Despite the overwhelming weight of changing times, here's an undercurrent of hope that each new day brings a chance to find perspective and healing.
