Red Roaster Pre-Theatre Dining

29 Jun, 2025

Red Roaster at Brighton Dome is the ideal spot for pre-theatre dining, offering a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere that perfectly complements an evening out.

Situated in the heart of the city, just a stone’s throw from Brighton Dome and Theatre Royal, it’s a prime location to soak up the buzz of the area, people-watch from the terrace and enjoy a delicious meal before heading to a performance.

We were running a bit late and looking for a quick but tasty stop. After looking at the menu at the entrance, the options sounded delicious, but I was unsure they would be able to get our orders out to us in the half hour we had available. I asked the staff, who assured me that it was no problem.

I love a bit of everything, so we opted for a selection of starters to share, including creamy burrata that was perfectly balanced with fresh tomatoes and basil, and a brilliant take on the classic prawn cocktail – elevated with bold flavours and a modern twist.

For mains, the crab linguine stole the show, packed with delicate yet indulgent pearls of caviar that added an elegant touch. The food is super fresh, inventive and made with sustainably sourced ingredients.

The service was a standout – attentive, helpful and genuinely friendly without feeling rushed. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable dining experience.

Red Roaster boasts an excellent selection of wines curated by Zeren Wilson, as well as a thoughtful range of craft beers and signature cocktails. Whether you’re in the mood for refreshing beer, a crisp white to pair with seafood, or a rich red to savour, you’ll find something to suit your taste.

With its winning combination of great food, excellent drinks and a prime location, Red Roaster at the Dome sets the perfect tone for an unforgettable night out. Whether you’re after a leisurely meal or a quick bite before curtain call, it’s a must-visit and a yes from me!
