The duo started making sweet music in 2023 and launched their critically acclaimed, self titled debut album in March 2024. Described by Discover Magazine as the "Pet Shop Boys on acid!" - the duo have had success with the singles "INIT" "MATINEE" & “ALGORHYTHM” They will be releasing the follow up album this Summer, with first taster “THE PLAYPEN” out now! Rooted in the landscapes of the Great Plains, her songs explore connection-to the natural world, to one another, and to the quiet moments that shape us. With over 60 million Spotify streams, releases on Fantasy Records, and appearances at some of the most respected folk and Americana festivals, von Kampen has built a devoted global following. Her national breakthrough came early, earning a Top 10 NPR Tiny Desk shout-out in 2016, which introduced her thoughtful songwriting to a wider audience. In 2019, she self-released her debut full-length album, Old Country, a collection of reflective folk songs that found success on Spotify and among indie bloggers, establishing her as an emerging voice in the contemporary folk scene. Their success at home also saw some of the most culturally impactful brands approach the band for collaborations, working with the likes of Gucci, Dior, Vans and Dr. Martens to name a few.     Folklore Sessions Presents; Axel Flovent + Support 15th October | The Folklore Rooms £15adv | 18+ Axel Flóvent is an Icelandic indie-folk artist whose soft, introspective songs blend Nordic melancholy with a warm, hopeful atmosphere. Growing up in a musical family in Húsavík, he began releasing raw, early demos that led to his breakout single, "Forest Fires," which is now streamed over 90 million times. His music draws from influences such as Bon Iver and Adrianne Lenker, blending gentle folk, ambient textures, and emotional honesty. After years of living in Reykjavík, Axel has returned to his hometown, where he continues to craft reflective, heartfelt songs - including new releases like singles "Nowhere" (December 19th 2025), "In The Grass" (January 30th 2026) and his upcoming EP, Fleeing the Shore set for April 24th 2026.
