Folklore Sessions Presents; daresay + Nierra Creek + Llsn June 12th | The Folklore Rooms £10adv | 18+ daresay draws on a lineage of open, literate indie songwriting with touchstones like Death Cab for Cutie, Modest Mouse and The Dismemberment Plan alongside the lyrical directness of Frightened Rabbit. Small town living and fractured identities haven't really resolved with time. Having come through young adulthood, those same tensions settle into a shared sense of melancholy, forming the backbone of daresay's debut, self-titled EP. Featuring their debut single 'featherweight', which explores the disorientation of rebuilding a sense of self after losing the frameworks that once gave it shape. 'featherweight' reflects on identity as something formed, undone and reassembled through influence, doubt and distance. It sits with uncertainty rather than resolving it. daresay have always been in each other's lives, collaborating on projects throughout their teens and early twenties. Old Man Luedecke | Folklore Sessions Presents; Old Man Luedecke + Pierce Joyce 1st July 2026 | The Folklore Rooms £17adv | 18+ Old Man Luedecke is the recording name of two time JUNO award winning and Polaris prize nominated singer songwriter Chris Luedecke. A multiple East Coast Music Award winner known for his high energy banjo driven stompers, touching guitar ballads and dry humorous stories, Luedecke has been making a soundtrack to an authentic life for nearly twenty years. Born in Toronto and long time resident of the country near Chester Nova Scotia, Luedecke began recording in the early 2000's DIY folk scene of Halifax. He made his two JUNO winning albums for Black Hen Music in the late 00s with Steve Dawson as producer at Vancouver's famed Factory studio. While on a tour of England in 2009, he met and supported folk roots legend Tim O'Brien who produced Luedecke's next two albums. Rooted in the landscapes of the Great Plains, her songs explore connection-to the natural world, to one another, and to the quiet moments that shape us. Join us for an evening featuring the famous Antonio Vivaldi cycle «The Four Seasons» in the unique interpretation of contemporary composer Max Richter, performed by the extraordinary Mystery Ensemble. Max Richter is the composer of music for dozens of feature films and documentaries. The European Film Academy voted him the best film composer in 2008. He reinterpreted Antonio Vivaldi's music in the spirit of minimalism and postmodernism. Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons is one of Richter’s most famous works. After its release in 2012, the recording topped the iTunes Classical Music charts in over 20 countries. Growing up in a musical family in Húsavík, he began releasing raw, early demos that led to his breakout single, "Forest Fires," which is now streamed over 90 million times. Von Hertzen Brothers (Acoustic Enough) | Finnish progressive rock visionaries Von Hertzen Brothers, return to the UK in October 2026 for a very special run of intimate seated theatre shows. Celebrating 25 years as a band, the Finnish band will present a unique live experience unlike anything they have previously brought to UK audiences.
